The name of the Foundation is a tribute to the Czech entrepreneur and philanthropist Josef Novak (1855-1906). Mr. Novak was not only a successful and innovative businessman of his time, who established the very first shopping center in the country (Dům U Nováků on Vodičkova Street, Prague), but also a compassionate and generous man. During his lifetime, he provided significant support to those in need.

It is our wish to follow in his footsteps of goodwill, and we sincerely hope that together we can help those in need in the same way he did.
